Corporate Compliance
The Corporate Compliance Committee investigates and deals with issues related to reported fraud and abuse behavior. The committee is comprised of members of management, professional visiting staff, Board of Directors, and outside counsel, if necessary. Ethics
The mission of the Ethics Committee is to educate and support care givers, as well as assist patients and families in making difficult health care decisions. Every person has the right to control their health care and to have their wishes honored. Health care decisions can be very complex due to advances in technology, which affords many options. Medical Ethics is the process of applying legal and ethical principles to real life situations. The Ethics Committee is comprised of physicians, administrators, ethicists, nurses and community representatives. Professional Advisory
The Professional Advisory Committee (PAC) provides an evaluation service pertaining to clinical services offered by the agency. Members on the PAC advise the agency on professional issues, evaluate the appropriateness, effectiveness, efficiency and the degree of quality in the programs. The PAC serves as a liaison between the Visiting Nurse Association/Blue Water Hospice and other health care and community service providers. Physicians, administrators, rehabilitative therapists, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians, clergy, mental health representatives and community senior representatives make up the Professional Advisory Committee.
